I'm Zack, a Brooklyn-based NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist.

My approach to training is built around a pretty simple idea: your body should be able to do the things you want it to.

Strength * Movement * Athleticism *

Getting stronger and building muscle matters, but I’m equally interested in helping people move well, develop coordination, become more explosive and athletic, and feel confident using the strength they’ve built. My programming draws from traditional strength and hypertrophy training alongside: plyometrics, SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness), conditioning and movement in multiple planes.

Before becoming a trainer, I studied Classical Acting at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. That background involved years of studying movement and physical performance, and it still influences the way I coach today. I'm interested in how people actually inhabit and use their bodies, not just what they can lift or how they look in a mirror.

For the past several years, I've worked with a wide range of clients across the city, from complete beginners to experienced lifters and recreational athletes. I don't believe everyone needs to train like a competitive athlete, and I don't believe there's one "correct" way to exercise. Training should reflect your goals, your body, your experience and, importantly, what you actually enjoy doing.

That might mean getting stronger, adding muscle, improving your conditioning, becoming quicker and more coordinated, or simply building a body that feels more capable in everyday life.

My job is to give that process structure: intentional programming, thoughtful progression, technical coaching and enough variety to keep training interesting…without turning fitness into your entire personality.
